Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERLINDA PADRONES CELONES Erlinda Padrones Celones, aged 72 of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Maximo and Elisa Reyes, brothers, Democrito, Boy and Junior, sister Mameng and husband Kiko Bautista and in-laws, Gregorio and Pili Celones, Melly and husband Nestor Cuevas, Olet and Rigor Celones. She is survived by her husband Henry, sons, Lloyd and Eric, wife Lorlynne and grandchildren, Ethan and Elden. She is also survived by her sisters, Paneng and late husband Leony Cuevas, Celia and late husband Willy Olaes, brothers, Erning and Tessie, Nato and Edith, Cesar and Ayet, Toto and Anna, sisters, Baby and late husband Genie Solis, Nita and late husband Florante Jimenez, brother Ramon and Jean, sister Ofie and late husband Jhun Francisco, in-laws, Dely and Junior Devera, Lib and Erning Marquez, Lolly and Ashley Shields, Nelson and Chris, Ely, Dory Sison, Rading and Karen Celones, Eddie Celones, and all her nieces and nephews. While attending National Teacher's College in the Philippines, she worked as a seamstress at PAE. After graduating she taught at Panapaan Elementary School before immigrating to Canada in February, 1972, as she was sponsored by Silpit Industries. Two months later, she met the love of her life Henry and married a year later. She also worked at Christie's Biscuits and YMHA as she was completing her education requirements at the University of Manitoba. Early 1974, she started working at MPIC where she retired in 2006 at the age of 60. Because of her drive to help others, she started volunteering and eventually working with MP Kevin Lamoureux until she fell ill. We wish to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, Rehabilitation and HSC for their care and all her family and friends for their prayers and support throughout this time. Lamay will take place Thursday and Friday, December 20 and 21, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with prayer service on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, December 22, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, 748 Keewatin St., Winnipeg, MB.
