ROBERT OAR On Friday, November 9, 2018, Robert passed away suddenly at Grace Hospital at the age of 70 years. Left to cherish Bob's memory are his children. Bob worked eight years in the Canadian Armed Forces and 25 years on the Winnipeg Police Service. He enjoyed sharing time between here and his winter home in Mexico. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. Bob was someone who would lend a hand to anyone who asked. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, 2157 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com Thank you for the love, the laughter and the memories. You will be missed, and we love you.

Bob and I were in school together in Dauphin in about grade seven and eight, many years ago. Then, by coincidence he moved onto the street where my mother lived, and so we struck up our friendship again, after many years. I particularly remember the many ways in which he helped my very elderly mother, for which I very much appreciated his generosity. Beyond the call of "being neighbourly". We weren't close friends, but we bumped into one another every so many years, and we'd exchange a hug and a few words. Often it would be at a place like Polo Park. I was very shocked and saddened to come across his obituary today, a couple of months after his death. I hope his family will know how much he was appreciated by others, specifically myself. The world is a slightly sadder place without Bob Oar. Goodbye my friend. - Posted by: Catherine Lee (friend) on: Jan 14, 2019
