RICARDO HIBI It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ricardo (Rick) Hibi, a lifelong resident of Winnipeg, MB. He died unexpectedly on December 17, 2018 at the age of 34 while fulfilling his duties as a foster parent in the group home he operated. Rick is survived by his beloved fiancé Candace Woloshyn; adored son Ricardo Junior Hibi; mother Emerita Osea; sister Abbey Hibi and stepmother Mable Anderson. He is predeceased by his father Ricardo Lim Hibi. Ricardo was born in Winnipeg on September 17, 1984. He graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate High School in 2003. Rick was a devoted father and an avid advocate for at-risk youth. He was a spiritual man. Ricardo inspired everyone with his passion and empathy. Rick strived to create opportunities and spaces for young people to blossom. He believed that each young person can love and be loved. Rick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Cropo Funeral Chapel located at 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Ricardo's GoFundMe campaign would be greatly appreciated.
