I had the great pleasure of working with Gord in the late 1980s early 1990s at Ricoh. I do not think Gord suffered fools gladly, but I am happy he made an exception in my case. He was very generous with his wisdom and humor and I most remember laughing my guts out when he was around. We went on a six and a half day canoe trip with four other guys .It rained for six days and through it all he maintained his positive attitude. I will always remember Gord and also remember to look at the world through his "every day is a sunny day" glasses. " can't dance, too late to plow, and I haven't got a hat". - Posted by: Steve Keating (Friend, former co- worker) on: Dec 17, 2019

So sorry to find this notice of my friends passing, Gord and I worked together in Victoria at Minolta Copiers. We spent many happy hours in the wardroom of his boat the Wildwood, a former RCN naval vessel that he lived on in Victoria harbour. Gord was very proud of the Wildwod and took good care of her for the 11 or so year that he owned her. Gord was a self taught musician, he played the guitar, the mandolin, and the instruments that that he made, last time I talked to him he had a banjo. Gord was a good and true and I shall miss him. - Posted by: Robin McColl (Friend) on: Dec 26, 2018

Having known Gord for almost all my life. Ron, Gordon and I are Winnipeg Tribune carrier alumni . Having moved away for a long time it was my pleasure to re establish a friendship on his return to Winnipeg. He became a colleague at Landau Ford, now Capital Lincoln. My last image of him will be him driving away from me in the shuttle he so enjoyed commanding. Happy travels Gord ! - Posted by: Dave Pratt (Friend) on: Dec 24, 2018
