GLENDON DAVID (GLEN) MORASH Glen Morash, aged 65, of Bedford, NS, passed away on December 25, 2018, in the QEII, Halifax Infirmary, with his devoted wife by his side. Glen was a loving husband and devoted father. He always kept his quirky smile on his face, a prankster, yet always caring, compassionate and yet a humble man. He was predeceased by his parents, Shirley and Hilding Morash; brother Kevin, and brother-in-law Norman Jarmuske. Glen served proudly with the R.C.M.P. for over 26 years, with most of his service being in the North. After retirement for almost two decades, he continued working security in the North on the Tibbett to Contwoyto Winter Road Joint Venture. Glen loved spending time with family, friends, the ocean, travelling to Maui, strumming on his ukulele, and volunteering with the South Maui Volunteers. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Emily; son, Andrew; brother, Greg (Joanne); sisters, Lynda Farnell and Sue Anne McHugh (Paul); brothers-in-law, Ken Jarmuske (Diane) and Wayne Jarmuske; sisters-in-law, Donna Jarmuske and Sherry Platt (Bob); nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Daniel McNeely and the Neurosurgery Team for their compassion and care. Heartfelt gratitude to our dear friend, Reverend Katherine Bourbonniere, whose calming presence helped guide Glen, Andrew and I through yet another of life's journeys. Thanks and gratitude for the outpouring support of all our friends, neighbours, and family near and far. As per Glen's wishes Organ and Tissue donations have been made and cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A memorial celebration will be held in Halifax at a later date. Glen felt strongly that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the: Dalhousie Biobank Brain Tumour Research Project / Dr. Sidney Croul, MD; or to the QEII Foundation-Neurosurgery Department / Dr. Daniel McNeely, c/o QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Park Lane Mall, Suite 3005, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3J 3R4, Phone: 902 334 1546 / Toll Free: 1 888 428 0220. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Glen was my troopmate (and pit partner) while in basic training at the RCMP Academy in Depot Division in Regina Sk (troop 6 1974). He was a great guy and yes a prankster, smart but modest we enjoyed training together. Glen is missed by all members of troop 6 as we meet every few years and share memories. Rest in Peace good buddy. I will never forget you. Denis (31505) - Posted by: Denis Nadeau (Friend and troopmate in the RCMP) on: Apr 12, 2025

  • Had the pleasure and honour to work closely with Glen on the Ice Road and shared many meals with Glen during our opening and closing board meetings in Edmonton. As a supervisor I worked closely with Glen whose kindness and gentle smile always brightened my day. My memories of Glen will be cherished. Most thankful having had him in my life. - Posted by: David Madder (worked closely with Glen on Ice Road) on: Jan 27, 2019
