Condolences & Memories (19 entries)

  • So sorry to Lui’s family on the loss of such a wonderful soul. Lui was such a fun, happy go lucky guy. I first met him through my older brother growing up in the West End. I’d bumped into him throughout the years and he had never changed, still the nicest, friendliest and all around nice guy. The world has lost one of the nicest people ever. RIP Lui. - Posted by: Sandi Smedvik (Friend) on: Jul 28, 2022

  • Really appreciated knowing and working with you. So sorry to hear of Lui's passing. Good person. - Posted by: Diane Turner (Work friend.) on: Jan 28, 2019

  • I was heart sick to see that Lui passed.. Such a good guy.... haven't seen him in many years but he made me laugh each time. Sorry to the family for losing a good man. - Posted by: Dave Lysyk (Friend) on: Jan 23, 2019

  • Lui, life made us friends... Now the comfort of having a friend may be taken away but not that of having had one. What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose, as it becomes a part of us. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal and love leaves a memory no one can steal". God Bless You and Love to Dana and all your loved ones too. Sherrie, Kevin, and all our loved ones. - Posted by: Sherrie Turchyn (Friend) on: Jan 15, 2019

  • Dear Dana; Our condolences to you and the family. You two were the first couple from Winnipeg that we met at Cocoa Beach when you unit was being re-modeled. We shared a lot of laughs and meals at the BBQ pit over the years that we were able to get to Florida. When I read your post of FaceBook I was in shock. We did not know that he was ill and he was far too young to leave this world. I hope that another year we will make it back to Cocoa Beach, but it won't be the same without him. My prayers go out to you and all the family and close friends (Big Lui and Vicky). Hugs, Margaret & Roger Sarty - Posted by: Margaret & Roger Sarty (Friends from Cocoa Beach) on: Jan 10, 2019

  • Our condolences to Lui's family - our thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I heard the news I was saddened and later after some tears Rose and I talked about our teenage years, in the west end, the fun we had and the laughs. Lui kept us laughing even when he got home late as a teenager and had to face his mom - he was a good friend and a good man, he will be dearly missed. - Posted by: Renda and Rose Rintoul (Friends) on: Jan 09, 2019

  • Dana; I'm so sorry to hear about Luigi, as the last update I got was that he was doing ok and holding his own. From the minute I met Lui, some 30 years ago through his best buddy Paul, I realized what a warm and welcoming person he was. Always had a huge smile on his face and seemed genuinely interested in what people were saying. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you and your family right now, while you work though this sorrow, but hopefully you will find some solace from the multitudes of friends and acquaintances whose hearts he's touched over the years. Take care and again, Cathy and I would like to express our sincere condolences. Denny - Posted by: Denny Signore (friend) on: Jan 09, 2019

  • I was shocked and saddened to hear of Lui's passing. He was a subcontractor to where I work and he was always just an upbeat and fun guy. The last time I saw him was probably over a year ago, after his surgery and he was hopeful and I thought on the mend. I didn't know Lui for very long as I've only worked here for a couple of years, but in the time I knew him, he seemed to be a very nice guy. My condolences to his family. Gone far too young! - Posted by: Gloria S (Work acquaintance) on: Jan 07, 2019
