Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADALBERT GROLL December 27, 1932 - January 9, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Bert at the age of 86. He is survived by sons, Douglas, Calvin (Christine), Ross (Katherine), and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Thea, of 61 years (2017), son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Karen, as well as parents, Anna and Albert. Dad immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1955 followed shortly by his future wife. They married and settled in Transcona where they raised four sons and resided for 52 years. He worked for several jobs before forming his own company, Bert's Electric. He ran that successfully until an auto accident permanently disabled him leading to his early retirement. Dad's physical health steadily decreased over the following years, but before that he had a great love for fishing, hunting and shooting, the latter which he did competitively. He was hard-working and there was no job that he was afraid to tackle. He will be greatly missed and as per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.
