JEAN SHWALUIK On January 18, 2019, we lost a kind and courageous heart with the passing of Jean, at the age of 92. Jean slipped quietly away from us to be joined with her son Larry, and her daughter Cathy. She leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Steve; son John (Joanne); grandsons, Che and Tyler; one great-grandson Xander and his mother Mandy, and her sister Marion Hlady. Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Steve and Bill Horodecki; and sister Helen Blahey. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. Interment will be held in Poplarfield, MB at a later time. My thoughts are with Steve, John and the family at this sad time. I have many happy memories of the Shwaluik family. Jean was a very kind, lovely lady with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. Jean and Steve made a great team. So sorry to hear of the passing of Jean. She was a lovely lady and I will forever remember her and Steve from our neighbourhood corner store (Luxton and St. Cross) and them being so patient as we spent our dimes on penny candy.
