PETER JOHANNES BUIKEMA August 3, 1926 - January 21, 2019 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Buikema on Monday, January 21, 2019. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Dorothy of 66 years, his children, Shirley (Peter) Feenstra, Alice (Bert) van Leeuwen, Wally (Kelly) Buikema and John (Sylvia) Buikema, 12 grandchildren and their spouses and 23 great-grandchildren. He was so proud of his family and loved each one dearly. Memorial service will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Reformed Church, 2615 Henderson Hwy. Dad was a man of faith and we are assured that he is safe in the arms of his Lord and Saviour. Glen Eden Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

  • Dorothy, Wally, Shirley, Ali, John and the whole family, my deepest condolences. I always liked sitting beside Peter at family dinners or brunches. He always had the best stories and his Dad-jokes were second to none. I will miss his sense of humour. He was very special to all who knew him.
