I remember my first home in 2002, it was next door to Marie and her parents. She always had a smile for me and time for a chat. We shared and laughed. Marie helped me with my flowers and gardening. Sometimes she would watch Patches my little cocker spaniel. What a wonderful person to have as a neighbor. My condolences to her close friends and family. I am sad I was out of the country in January. Shona Scappaticci - Posted by: Shona Scappaticci (Neighbor ) on: Feb 18, 2019

I had the privilege of getting to know Marie in the past 5 years. She was always so vibrant. I will never forget her or her laugh. I loved her for her devotion to her mom, friends and puppy. May you run with your A1. - Posted by: Leslie F (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2019

Truly saddened to see you go but relieved to know that your pain and suffering are over. My life was certainly enriched having worked with and known you. Rest easy Marie knowing that you left a significant, positive impact on humanity in your favourite place in Africa, although we all know that you wished you could have done more. - Posted by: Wolf Boehm (Former work colleague and friend) on: Jan 26, 2019

I'm am so sorry to hear of Marie's passing. She was such a kind person. A fellow animal lover and all round good neighbor. She was the second person to come over and talk to me when we first moved into the neighbourhood. Her and Mack would stop and visit when they were out walking and I was in my yard. Made my day. My sincere condolences to her friends and family. May God be with you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Nancy Bourret (Neighbor) on: Jan 26, 2019
