LORNA LOUISE WATT (MUIR) March 12, 1952 - January 23, 2019 After a long and courageous battle, with an unfortunate illness, our beloved Mother went peacefully in her sleep. She leaves to mourn her sons, Harley and Kris, and husband Derek as well as her mother Anne Muir, brothers and sisters, Gary (Melody), Glen (Wendy), Wayne (Cathy) and Marnie (Andrew), in-laws, Reg (Linda) and Don (Nancy) and many loving nieces and nephews and friends. If there is anyone we left out, we apologize. The family is comforted knowing that Lorna went to join her father Mervin who passed in 2017 and precious daughter Melanie who predeceased her in 2011. Lorna grew up on a farm near Russell, MB but spent all her adult life in Winnipeg. She helped so many people during her lifetime, her generosity and kindness will always be remembered. When it became her time to need care, there were so many wonderful people to help care for her. A huge thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre who she loved, as well as the staff at St. Boniface Hospital who went above and beyond. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, TBA.

  • I got to know Lorna at Riverview when I would visit my mother who also lived there. Lorna’s positive outlook on life always inspired me when we would visit together. When we would joke around, her face would light up with such a beautiful grin. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. - Posted by: Linda Toews (Friend ) on: Jan 28, 2019
