Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH WILLIAM LOWTHER December 9, 1945 - December 20, 2018 Tragically, from a fall while visiting in Victoria, BC, Ken Lowther passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 73 years. Ken is survived by his loving wife Jennie, of 52 years; daughter Mary-Ann Knight (Rob), their children, Mitchell and Katelyn (Jeremy Baker); son David (Tracey), their son Kyle (Chelsea Slade); son Anthony (Tonya), their daughter Ariel; and son Wayne (Jennifer), their son Alexander; as well as numerous nieces and nephews on the Lowther side. Ken is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony - Delores, Michael - Shirley Michaluk, Mary - Harold Desveaux and their families. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Alfred James (Jim) and Gladys (nee Blackmon) Lowther; his half sister Janice Best (James); sisters, Ann Graves (Clarence), Sylvia Robertson (William), and infant brother Wayne. Ken was born and raised in Makinak, MB and was the youngest in the family. At age 14 he started to work on various farms and then at a lumber mill in BC. Ken joined the Canadian Air Force on October 7, 1964 and served until August 29, 1992 achieving the rank of Master Warrant Officer. He then worked as a commissionaire, building inspector, plumber and security guard while residing in Dundurn and then Saskatoon, SK, retiring in 2012. In August, 2016 Ken and Jennie moved to Selkirk, MB. Throughout the years Ken was involved with various Legions and Freemasonry serving in various capacities. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.

Ken and I worked together at CFS Beausejour. We were instrumental in cataloging the base facilities for closure in 1986. My wife and I enjoyed any time spent with Ken and Jennie.
