JILL MARGARET BOWYER (nee JAMESON) July 3, 1947 - January 25, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Bowyer, after a lengthy illness, and surrounded by her family, on Friday, January 25, 2019. Left to survive Jill are her husband of 52 years, Edward (Ted) Bowyer; daughter Leslee Klinck (Michael); grandchildren, Allison and Andrew; brothers, Jim Jameson (Anne) and Jay Jameson (Lynne); brother-in-law Jess Bowyer (Marlene); several nieces and nephews; a great-nephew and most recently a great-niece; her cousins, as well as several extended family and friends including very special friend Cathe Klassen in Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents, Leslie Jameson and Gladys Bunting (Jameson). Jill was born and raised in the Weston area of Winnipeg. Both Jill and Ted grew up in Weston where they began dating and remained until after they married in 1967 and had their daughter Leslee in 1969. They moved to Tyndall Park in 1972 to raise their family. Jill was very much a family person who worshipped her daughter Leslee and especially her grandchildren, Allison and Andrew. She couldn't wait for their visits, phone calls and special conversations. It would not be an exaggeration to say they were the light of her life and the feeling was definitely mutual. She said not long ago that she would continue to watch over them from her special place. She told Ted often that she hoped all her family and friends knew how much she loved and appreciated each and every one of them. The family would like to thank Jay and Lynne Jameson for all the extra help they have been providing over the last few years. Tyler and Kathy Jameson who although far away, were always there for us; the W.R.H.A. for helping Leslee to get the Self-Managed Care set up so quickly; Centered Care Inc. owners Julia and Marlee for getting Mom's home care set up in a rush situation last January. Their dedication has gone above and beyond. All the Centered Care aides who have been working with Mom, especially Larissa Olson who has been there through it all, formed a very special bond with both Jill and Ted and has been nothing short of amazing. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Mom has always had a special place in her heart for animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to any pet rescue shelter (D'arcy's Arc, Winnipeg Humane Society, Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter). Condolences may be sent to www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com "I'll love you forever, like you for always, as long as I'm living, my mommy you'll be"

  • Sorry for your loss Jay and family - Posted by: Dallas Oleschuk (Friend) on: Feb 07, 2019

  • Very shortly after Ted and Jill were married, they invited me to their home to have dinner and watch an event on television. Jill had prepared an incredible repast of spaghetti and chicken breast. But, all was not going to end well. On the way back to the living room I took a shortcut, stepping over the coffee table. Unfortunately my plate tilted and the entire meal slid off, landing intact on the coffee table. With my eyes opening to about f1.4, my face turning the colour of a fire truck, and Ted laughing uproariously, Jill was composed. She simply said: “Don’t worry. These things happen. I’ll get you another.” The old memories are the best. Rest well, Jill. Sincerest condolences to Ted and the entire family. - Posted by: Rick Inglis (Friend from days gone by) on: Feb 03, 2019
