RYAN JAMES (THIESSEN) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we lost Ryan on January 22, 2019, peacefully at his home, in his sleep. Ryan was 43 years old and the beloved son of Jan and Grant Thiessen. He was born in Winnipeg October 30, 1975. He is survived by his son, Callum, and his loving partner, Merrilee and her children, Isabella and Nico. Also mourning Ryan are his foster children, Damien and Christian. He is also survived by his sister, Christina, and nephew, Grayson. Additionally mourning Ryan is his former wife, Sharon. Ryan loved animals and will be missed by his two dogs, Hooch and Weechie. Ryan attended Ecole Guyot, J.H. Bruns Collegiate and the University of Manitoba where he received an Honours Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Cremation has taken place; a notice will be placed in the future for a memorial service in late February. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Ryan's name.

I was saddened to hear of Ryan's passing and was sorry to not be able to make the funeral. I worked with Ryan a few years back and I appreciated his love for his family.
