FRED MATTHEWS Peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, after a short illness, Fred passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, aged 77 years old at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Fred is survived by his son Cam (Crystal), daughter Karlie (Chris), his best buddies and beloved grandsons, Jackson and Owen Debets, sister Helen (Adolph), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Stephanie and his sister Linda. For 25 years Fred worked for Manitoba Hydro. He enjoyed boating for many years spending most of his time on Lake Winnipeg. Later in life he took to travelling by RV. His greatest travelling time is when he would take his two grandsons, Jackson and Owen to Winnipeg Beach for the summer. Fred's funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. A very special thank you to the staff at Riverview and palliative care.
