PHYLLIS MARTEL 1928 - 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on Wednesday, January 30, at Donwood Personal Care Home where she resided for the last seven years. She is survived by five daughters, two sons, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen, two sons, Wayne and Brent, three brothers and two sisters. Family was very important to mom. Mom was a very good cook and loved to bake. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, listening to music and entertaining. The family wishes to thank the staff at Donwood Personal Care Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to our mom. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. "Mom, we will miss you immensely. But we know you are now at peace and with loved ones." My heartfelt condolences to the Martel family on the loss of their mother. Auntie Phyllis was a special and kind person who was generous to a fault. Having a large family of her own, she would always have room for relatives and her children's friend in her home. My sister and I spent many days at her house having wonderful times with our cousins. Sadly I just found out my Auntie Phillis' son Brent passed away in 2017. Brent was a kind and generous person and he and I shared many good times in our youth. I am so sorry for both of these loses in the Martel family - Posted by: Don Rivers aka Joe Rivers (Nephew ) on: Feb 05, 2019
