Dear Perrin Family, I have just heard of Danny's passing. I now live in Toronto and happened to call my best friend Rita for her 60th birthday. (June 2019). I am so sad and send my true and compassionate feelings of sympathy. I went to school with Danny at College St Boniface from 1972 to 1976. We didn't really hang around until he met my best friend. SO my best friend and he and his best friend = 4 really good friends. It was 1975, Danny introduced me to my lifelong friend and interior design associate Roger Zwickel. I will forever be grateful to this shy, thoughtful, kind and very handsome person. We used to call him Pecker? I will never forget you. - Posted by: Michelle Turenne (Smith) (Friend) on: Jun 14, 2019

30 years ago I started at Winnipeg Transit. My first day of training I met my training partner, Dan Perrin. From that first day I knew I had a friend for life. Dan simply put, listened. I left Winnipeg Transit after 5 years but always stayed in touch with Dan. He knew my wife and kids. 20 years ago I left Canada to return to my home in Colorado. We always said we would keep in touch but man time goes fast. 4 years ago we got a call from Dan. He said that him and Terry would going to New Mexico and were thinking of stopping by for a visit. We were so glad that they stopped by. It seemed like we had seen them only a few days ago. Dan was the kind of person that even though it had been 20 years he made it seem like yesterday. My Canadian wife loved Habitat pea soup. No problem as they brought 12 large cans of soup for my wife Susan. Even though my son was 5 when we left Dan also talked with him as if he had seen him yesterday. It was a shock when Terry called to tell us Dan had passed away. He was full of life and I will never forget him. They say it's not what you said or what you did or how much money you have, it's how you made people feel. Dan always made me and my family feel like friends. HAPPY TRAILS MY FRIEND. THE DAVE HUPP FAMILY, COLORADO - Posted by: Dave & Susan Hupp (Friends) on: Feb 12, 2019

Our deepest sympathies to Terry and family. I last saw Terry and Dan waiting at CancerCare for our names to be called. Terry said, ''we all need to get together again and have a party...''--- I didn't know then that this was the last time I'd see Dan. Yes, we are all 'tourists', some roads are rockier for some, which makes rest so welcome. Yes, we will meet again on THE BIG BEACH for that party! - Posted by: The Pohl Family (Lifelong neighbours to the Sullivans ) on: Feb 08, 2019

My sincerest sympathies to Terry and family, as well to Daniel’s siblings. Unfortunately I cannot make the funeral. Please know that I will always remember Dan as he would stop by at my house in St-Boniface on his bike. He was truly a great guy, with a mischievous eyes and a fantastic personality. May you rest in peace Dan. Hugs to all. - Posted by: Jeannette Perrin (Cousin) on: Feb 07, 2019

My deepest condolences to Terry, Cole, and Dillon. I grew up just 3 houses down and really liked Dan as one of the influential parents on our street as we were all so close. These times are hard but remember to lean on those you love from strength. Think of you all. - Posted by: Braden Kraft (Childhood neighbour) on: Feb 07, 2019

Dan was one of my best friends. We shared many laughs and good times. We shared a common love of good music, bicycling, and travelling whether in Mexico or Grand Beach. Dan could be a funny guy and he'd always crack me up when I most needed it. To say that I'll miss him is an understatement but I'll never forget him. We were like brothers, he was kind, generous and thoughtful of others. It was an honor to know him and call him my friend so in closing, hasta luego Dan on the flip side - Posted by: Stephen Lagrandeur (Friend) on: Feb 06, 2019

Dan was one of those people who just clicked with nearly everyone he met. Super nice guy who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Quirky sense of humour, movie star looks yet a very humble and kind man. We shared many laughs and family occasions together where Dan was always the guy cooking as he was an amazing chef. Always the last one to sit down to dinner as he made sure everyone else was looked after first. I look forward to seeing you again on the other side Dan and we all miss you terribly. - Posted by: Tim Sullivan (Brother-in-law) on: Feb 05, 2019

Mes sympathies a les familles Perrins et Gauthiers. As a Genealogist, I do not know my cousin Daniel, but I heard good things about him from another cousin (Kevin Champagne) who works with him at Winnipeg Transit. My late mother was first cousin to Estelle. - Posted by: Richard Girouard - Montreal, Quebec (Petit cousin du cote des Gauthiers et Champagnes.) on: Feb 05, 2019
