RALPH MOON It is with great sadness that the family announces that Ralph Moon quietly passed away at Riverview Health Centre, on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 88. Ralph was born in Winnipeg where he lived his entire life. He was predeceased by his wife Dorthy, daughter-in-law Linda and grandson Bradley. Left to cherish his memory are his son Terry, daughter Joanne (Nelson) and son Gary; grandchildren, Randi (Alex) and Kursten; as well as great-grandchildren, Bennett and Nell. Ralph worked as a Bus Driver for Winnipeg Transit for 32 years, retiring in 1989, he also volunteered for over 30 years for the Red River Exhibition. After retiring, Ralph found his new passion when he took up wood carving. He joined the Adanac Carving Group and spent many hours creating birds, fish and flowers. Ralph won the lottery when he moved in to Riverview Health Centre where the staff became a second family to him. Ralph was very happy in his new home and realized how lucky he was to be there. He mentioned frequently how everyone there always had time to say hi or wave, always with a smile. We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre CD1 for their kindness and care. In keeping with Ralph's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Interment will take place in the spring. "Dad you touched many lives, made memories and taught us lessons. You will always be in our hearts. We are praying you have been set free and are with Mom and found peace in God's hands. We know you are there to show us the way." In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre CD1, in memory of Ralph, or a charity of ones choice. E.J. Coutu & Co. I have great memories of your Dad and actually of the entire Moon family. So many wonderful memories of life back in the Glenwood area. Your Dad was always one of my favourite people to talk to and often had encouraging words for me as a coach. When you are young and starting out positive words have an huge impact on your confidence. May God be with your family at this time. - Posted by: PAUL GENTES (Friend of Family) on: Feb 16, 2019
