GLEN TEMPLETON November 27, 1952 - January 3, 2019 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend Glen Templeton. Glen was predeceased by his mother Hazel (2011) and his father Alex (2006). He is survived by his brother James Templeton, his niece Jennifer and his nephew Eric. Glen spent most of his life in Fort Garry and was known amongst many circles of friends there. He was loyal, headstrong and liked to laugh. He enjoyed his work at Boeing, where he worked for many years. Glen was always proud to drive nice cars, especially his Nova, and took great care of them. Glen's life was not always easy, especially in the later years of his illness. He made many lifelong friends who will sadly miss him. An event celebrating Glen's life will be planned in early spring.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I just learned of Glen passing and was deeply saddened. I remember you and your father taking me for my very first snowmobile ride. On another day we took your father's Ford Falcon out and were racing buses. Rest in peace ol' buddy. - Posted by: Gord Sasaki (childhood friend) on: Sep 28, 2022

  • I was sad to hear of Glen's passing. I had not seen Glen since my move to Kamloops in 69. Always remember Glen and his black horned rimmed glasses. Great guy. Last time I remember him was at his house with his brother Jim. RIP old friend. Jim McNaughton - Posted by: Jim McNaughton (Friend) on: Jan 17, 2022

  • In the spring of 1965, Glenn forced me to join him on a double date. I didn't feel too put upon, because my date, Yvonne, was pretty and bright and had hair down to her waist. But really, the whole thing was an elaborate pretext for Glenn to go out with Jerri-Lynn, who was, I think, a year older than us, and possibly unavailable to Glenn in other than the innocent context of a double date. We went 5-pin bowling at Garry Bowl, had a late lunch at Chicken Delight, and walked home. I remember Glenn and I singing personalized versions of Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter as we walked. I moved away later that year, and never saw Glenn again. But I never forgot him, and how he introduced me to a new stage of life. I hope he got to see Jerri-Lynn again. - Posted by: bill noble (childhood friend) on: Sep 01, 2020

  • I worked at Canada Customs (Air Cargo ) and Glen came in frequently on behalf of Boeing. He was always smiling (and what a smile it was ) and so pleasant. I'm sure he touched many lives as he did mine. My deepest sympathy to his family. - Posted by: Armelle (Met Glen through my work) on: Mar 11, 2019

  • I regret that I had not kept in touch with my Templeton cousins. I haven't seen Glen since we were children. My condolences to his family. My mother, Betty, was his father's older sister. - Posted by: Patricia Driver (cousin) on: Mar 09, 2019

  • I'm sorry to say that I lost touch with all my Templeton relatives. I regret that I have not seen Glen since he was very little, maybe five at the most. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Pat Moore Driver (Cousin) on: Mar 09, 2019

  • I met Glen through my brother Dave. Glen was a huge part of my childhood and was a huge part of my adult life as well. He was kind, loving and always was fun to hang with. I have many memories of the green Nova he drove back in the day. I loved getting invited to his parties - they were great times. Glen called me kid never Carol and I will fondly remember that as his nickname for me. Love you Glen, will very much keep you in my heart. Rest in Peace xo - Posted by: carol (close friend ) on: Feb 23, 2019
