Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARLENE HATCH Marlene Hatch, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Grace Hospital. She is survived by daughters, Stacey Bittner (Clay) and Kerri Schultz (Jeff); cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Megan Bittner and Matthew Schultz. Also left to mourn her passing is her travel companion and devoted friend Lloyd Hryniuk. As well, she leaves behind brothers, John Krueger (Wilda) and Henry Krueger (Linda), sister Alice Mullin (Barry); along with several nieces and nephews. Born in Brandon on May 25, 1947, Marlene spent her early years in the Killarney area and later became a longtime public servant in Manitoba. She was one of the original employees of MPI and also served with Manitoba Hydro and Manitoba Archives. At Marlene's request cremation has taken place and no funeral or memorial service will be held. As per her wishes she will be buried in the family plot with her parents, David and Katarina Krueger and grandparents, Henry and Agatha Lepp at Rivers Cemetery. In her memory, if desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

To the family of Marlene; Alice & Barry, John & Wilda, Henry & Linda; Marlene's children and grandchildren. Our deepest condolences to each you as we learned today of Marlene's passing. We did not realize that she was fighting cancer, once again. We are so saddened by this news. We have many happy memories of visiting Marlene and her family out on the farm near Killarney. It was always an exciting time to visit our cousins. Our prayers are with you as you grieve. May God give you strength and comfort. Stacey and Kerri, we are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. We have so many memories of her from JenPeg, Red Deer and Winnipeg. We shared many pictures back and forth of you and your children. Although we lost touch over the years we think of her as a dear friend. She was so proud of you all. So sorry to see Marlene has passed. We were neighbours when we both lived in the condo complex. I ran into her over a year ago while she was buying food for her grandchildren who were visiting. It was then she told me of her cancer journey. She also proudly spoke of her children and grandchildren. Marlene was a lovely lady!
