NORMAN POWNALL Norman passed away peacefully at Misericordia Place on February 22, 2019. He will be sadly missed by his brother Harold and sister-in-law Donna of Victoria, niece Carrie, nephews, Tom and Glen and close friend Nancy. Norman was born in St. Boniface and lived almost his entire life on Archibald Street. He attended Archwood School, Nelson McIntyre Collegiate, and received his BA from the University of Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Nora, and many aunts and uncles. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Misericordia Place for the special care they provided to Norman. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date. ejcoutu.ca

I was never informed of Norman's passing but he was a private person, so I am not surprised. Let it be said that he was a very intelligent man, quite scholarly actually. We were in the Master's program at the U. of M. at the same time and became very close. Although we drifted in different directions, I always valued him as a friend. R.I.P.
