I knew Joyce from when I was just a kid in the 70s. George and my Dad were good friends and our family went to the Hartwigs for supper fairly often. Joyce was an amazing host, cook and entertainer. We always looked forward to our visits there as kids because nobody made a better feast than Joyce. An amazingly kind and giving woman, Joyce was one of the ladies who made you feel like she could have been your own Mom.She used to tolerate George’s jokes and it was hilarious watching Joyce’s reaction to George’s one liners. I will always remember Joyce very fondly. A heart of gold and a very sweet woman. I am thankful to have known Joyce. God speed. - Posted by: Tim Sullivan (Family friend) on: Mar 17, 2019
