LILLIAN KISS May 10, 1920 - January 10, 2019 Lillian, the last surviving child of Harry and Eva Swistowich (interred at Cooks Creek Pioneer Cemetery) was born on the family farm in Pine Ridge, Manitoba on May 10, 1920. She was predeceased by brothers, John, Alex, Nick and Bill, and sisters, Anne Tenoski, Kay Dudar and Mary Swistowich. Lillian married Walter Kiss of St. Andrews in 1941. Their son Daniel was born in 1943 and died that same year. Lillian and Walter lived in Manitoba and Ontario before moving to British Columbia. Walter passed away in 1968. Lillian found lifelong strength in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Saviour. She loved reading and had an amazing memory, reciting poetry from her school days until her passing. She had a great sense of humour and wit. Ever the farm girl, even in Vancouver, she excelled at growing beautiful flowers and wonderful vegetables. Lillian was a devoted mother and best friend to daughter Linda who will deeply and forever miss her, but is grateful for all their precious years together and comforted by Mom's gentle advice to "Look up at the sky and thank God for everything." Lillian is also survived by nieces, Joyce Ducharme and Patricia Greenaway of Winnipeg.
