Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJONATHAN BRIAN HARRY REIMER Jonathan Brian Harry Reimer, born August 28, 1986, passed at the young age of 32 on February 23, 2019. Jonathan's name means a "gift of God", and he was indeed a precious gift to us all, warming hearts with his jovial spirit and insightful, kind-hearted nature. Jonathan was a truly remarkable, very special young man, gifted in so many ways. Athletic, articulate and attractive, he utilized his oratory, theological and exceptional intellectual gifts to educate and entertain classmates in high school and college. A diligent, conscientious student, he graduated with a B.A. from C.M.U., high honours and was a candidate for valedictorian. He aspired to a career in law. He attended Linden Christian School from K - 12. He was an avid jazz band member, an inter-scholastic basketball player and also an avid reader, devouring novels and many books. His witty humour and savvy political knowledge, as well as his spiritual commitment and strong faith were a source of encouragement and inspiration for classmates, professors and family members, demonstrated in college discussions where, amongst other doctrines, he did apologetics with respect to creation. He did go through times when his faith wavered, but he ended strong. His heart-warming personality and endeavours will be remembered by all. Mourning his passing are family members: Brian, Lynne, Heather, Mark (Christy), other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at Friends Funeral Chapel, 2146 Main St., on Monday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. Yes, Jonathan was a gift of God to us all and we were blessed by his life for 32 years. Too short, but God is sovereign. So we will remember and rejoice in those remarkable 32 years, while we continue to grieve his absence. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord."

I remember many spirited debates in my Bible classes with Jonathan. He was a very intelligent man, who loved to have a good discussion. He loved basketball, as does his whole family, and provided the Linden fans with many memorable moments. The whole LCS family mourns with the Reimer family at this time. - Posted by: Darryl Rempel (Teacher at LCS) on: Mar 15, 2019

Wow. The memories of JONATHAN on the basketball court at LCS came flooding back. It’s truly humbling to reflect on a life of someone you basically grew up with. After high school we may have all lost touch but there is something about a small graduating class that makes this all the much harder to understand as we truly felt like more of an LCS family. It's like a death of a family member. Praying for comfort for his family and close friends. RIP Jonathan. - Posted by: Arianne Day (High school Peer) on: Mar 13, 2019
