BRIAN DOUGLAS AITKENHEAD We were only 6 and 16 years old when Mom told us that you died. We didn't fully know what it meant. We felt numb, but still cried. We didn't know how big a hole your passing would leave. We didn't understand how much loneliness We were about to receive. As the years have gone by, We've forgotten a few things, Like the sound of your voice, and how your laughter used to ring. We can't remember exactly what It was like when you held us, But do remember it left us with A feeling of warmth and security. Our first birthday spent without you Was hardest after you were gone, That first Christmas just wasn't the same, And it remains so as the years go on. There have been thousands of times When we've wished you were still here, To celebrate all of our joys, And help calm our fears. We've spent more of our lives without you Than with you, we are sad to say But want you to know we still love you and think about you each and every day. Forever missed - forever loved Your sons, Ryan and James

  • Beautifully said. He was a wonderful guy and I am blessed to have had him in my life. I often see him in his sons...his laugh, gestures, his big heart. Love and miss my Uncle. - Posted by: Christine (family) on: Mar 29, 2019
