Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Our condolences to the Savickey family. Wally was one of the first people I met when I arrived at WUC. Wally was always willing to help, he had a wealth of knowledge and was very talented. One of the nicest people you will ever meet. Wally will be missed. - Posted by: Ken and Barbara Dwyer (Friend) on: Mar 30, 2019

  • So many years have passed by since we were in contact with Wally and Sharon. Our sincerest sympathy to Wally's family. A great man and was a wonderful brother to Betty. - Posted by: Norma and Steve Einarson. (Norma Tully was a former neighbour in Oakville.) on: Mar 23, 2019

  • While I have not seen either Wally or Sharon for many years now, I have very fond memories of times we spent together. My condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Katherine Sullivan (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2019

  • Allan and I met Walter and Sharon during the first week we became neighbours, and had many happy visits over the fence during the 20 years we lived side by side. Wally, who loved to work in his garden and yard, was always helpful and cheerful. As the “senator of the street” he could tell us many stories of our house and the neighbourhood, which was new to us but a long term home to the Savickey family. We are saddened to hear of Wally’s passing. The world, and especially his friends and family, will miss his warmth, good humour and positive outlook on life. Our deepest condolences to Sharon, Joan, Beth, Tanya, Walker (the grandson in whom he delighted!) and Peter. Our thoughts are with you. Allan and Rilla - Posted by: Allan and Rilla Southby (Neighbour) on: Mar 22, 2019

  • Matthias, Marlene and John Pauls send our condolences to you. We remember the kind and generous neighbour he was to our family. Always a story or assistance when needed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. - Posted by: Marlene Pauls Laucht (Friend and former neighbour) on: Mar 21, 2019
