Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • My sincere condolaces To Mrs. Marceniuk and Sherry for your loss. - Posted by: Robert Novak (Friend Of Family) on: Sep 03, 2021

  • I still have wonderful memories of coming to your house for a huge feast and lots of fun every Christmas. When Greg and I were dating I had an accident on Henderson Highway with his brand new car. The man driving the other car was very mad at me, but changed his tune completely and was so nice to me after he saw my driver's licence; later at Autopac we found out why - he thought that John Marceniuk was my father. I remember thinking "Wow, Uncle Johnny must have friends in high places." Losing my father at such a young age wasn't easy, but the beautiful speech John gave at our wedding made me feel like a part of my Dad was there with us. We moved in Alberta in 1980, but tried to include a visit with John and Pauline whenever we came back to Winnipeg. I was so grateful to see Sherry at my Mom's funeral; that really meant a lot to me. John's stories (and re-enactment of him single-handedly fighting off a bear) kept us all entertained. No matter what your family was going through, you always made us feel welcome in your home. We look forward to seeing you this summer Pauline and Sherry, and take comfort in knowing that we will see you again in heaven, Uncle Johnny, because of your faith in Jesus. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4. God bless. - Posted by: Melody De Groot (nee Marceniuk) and family (niece) on: Apr 10, 2019

  • I just visited Johnny and Pauline a few weeks ago and we had a lovely visit. We had really good chats, going down memory lane. Even at that time I got the sense that our next visit might be in Heaven, and I told him so. My sincere condolences to Aunt Pauline and Sherry. Rest in peace brother! Love you! - Posted by: Tim Marceniuk (Nephew ) on: Apr 06, 2019
