GAIL MARILYN GILLIES
July 30, 1948 - February 25, 2019
Gail was born in Winnipeg and spent her childhood years growing up at 1062 Mountain Avenue, moving to Niakwa Park in her teen years and attending Windsor Park Collegiate. Gail started modeling in Winnipeg then moved to Montreal to further her career.
Gail was predeceased by her father Jim (2000) and her mother Marion in (2010).
Gail will be lovingly remembered by brother Greg (Carol), sister Susan (Kim), niece Kara (Micha), nephew Scott (Stephanie), stepson Jason Debrofsky of Montreal and many cousins.
Gail's lifelong friend Jennith mentioned that Gail told her many times how thankful she was to remain in her home because of neighbours who were so kind and generous with their time, and close friends who were always there in her time of need. Friendship was most important to Gail, as she kept in contact with many lifelong friends she held dear.
Home Care with all its struggles in this day and age tried their very best for Gail's care.
Care Workers, you know who you are, thank you very much. After hours phone people, you were very generous and kind with your response, thank you!
Gail's motto and words she lived by were:
"The greatest thing you will ever learn
is to love and be loved in return."

Gail and my mother were friends in Montreal for many years, and I came to consider her a friend as well. Although we lost touch when Gail moved back to Winnipeg, we still managed to speak on the phone from time to time. Not only was Gail beautiful on the outside, but her warmth and intelligence made her beautiful on the inside as well. She will be missed. - Posted by: Neil Newman (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2020

Gail and I were best friends growing up on Mountain Ave. and remained the best of friends throughout our lives. Although we were miles apart, I still managed to get back to Winnipeg to visit my family and got in a wonderful visit with Gail while I was there. She will always remain in my fondest memories of our youth and I will miss her wonderful friendship. Until we meet again my dear friend, Love you always.
