DONALD (DONNY) MAGEE
Donny was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Marion; and sister Laurie (Ron).
Left to cherish his memory are his partner Helena; stepdaughters, Amanda (Chad) and Michelle; grandchildren, Mikka and Dexter; sisters, Shirley (Bill), Wendy and Cindy (Wally); brother Dale (Ana); nephews, Damien (Emma), Chris (Sue), and Tyronne; nieces, Kelly (Jody), Samantha (Dan), and Haley (Ryan); along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews cousins and friends.
Donny was employed at Canada Auto as an automotive technician and mentor to young apprentices for 27 years. His passion for vehicles also brought him great joy doing specialty work on cars with friends. Other interests included Formula One Racing and most recently gardening. Donny was an active member of the West Kildonan Legion where he served on the executive board in numerous capacities over the years.
In keeping with Donny's wishes cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held.
A social "come and go" gathering to celebrate Donny will be held on Tuesday, April 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 30, 1748 Main Street.

My condolences to Helena, his family, friends, and much more who was in his life. Donny was my uncle when he was with my aunty. He always took care of me when he came back from work, or sometimes he would even take me to his work and he would work on cars. And we would steal bacon from my aunty's breakfasts or play video games on my ps2. And when my real dad wasn't around, and my aunty couldn't have kids my mom would let me stay over at their place. We also took care of my cat scamp together, he even took scamp with him when I couldn't because when me and my mom moved, there was no pets allowed. And I only got to visit him about once or twice after he moved out of aunty's, he took scamp with him too. But now I know he is resting well, and that I'm not going to forget him because he made a big impact on my life, and he will be with me in my heart. I'm grateful he was a father figure, and a great role model in my life who taught me things for my future. My condolences to his family, lovers, friends, and to the others who got a chance to be in his life. I love you uncle Donny, rest well. My condolences to Helena snd Donnies family. My heart goes out to you al. Donnie has always been like a big brother to me. He has been a very special person in our family’s life and has helped us all out many times, over the yeats. Donnie has never said a bad word about or to anyone and has helped amyone that, was in need. He had a huge heart and was loved by many.
