LOUISE DOERKSEN
Date of Passing: Apr 03, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLETTERS TO OUR BELOVED,
MRS. LOUISE DOERKSEN
Mr. Tony Doerksen
(husband)
(Lyrics to a special song). It was April the
third and the year 2018 and God called my
sweet lady, so pure and so kind, who met
Jesus that day, we know it was God that took
her away.
Hi Louise, You were a devoted wife and
mother, treating our family like a dedicated
gardener with tender loving care. I miss sing-
ing duets with you, hearing you play the piano
in the house and your matrimonial cake. I
miss our long drives in the country where we
would find a little restaurant in a small town
and stop for a bite. You notoriously would
start up conversations with complete
strangers always leaving them feeling more
encouraged by the time we went to leave.
After 59 years of being together your
presence is still felt in our home and some-
times I still think you’re here. I’m finding
ways to keep myself busy by writing
memoirs, which you’re so much a part of,
making homemade soup and keeping the
home-fires burning. I find much solace in our
memories together and looking forward to
seeing you again one day again in heaven. In
the meantime, I’m embracing this season one
day at a time with the love of my children and
grandchildren. With love, Tony.
Stan and Carol Doerksen
(son and daughter-in-law)
There are so many things we miss about you;
your beautiful smile, happy, out-going
personality, our drives in the country where
we would stop for coffee at Salisbury House
on the way home, (you loved going for
coffee). We, also miss your beautiful, caring
eyes and a Christ-like glow. You’re forever
loved.
Ruth Bonneville
(daughter)
My dear, sweet mom. I think of you too often
to count and still shed many tears. But I’m
learning to smile again, and feel like when I
go to cry you lift up my cheeks with your
gentle hands and catch my tears. I’m moving
forward and in a good place with much joy in
my life - Must’ve been all your great prayers.
Dad is keeping well and we’re closer than
ever. His love has really helped me through
this season. I want you to know how thankful
I am to have had you for my mother. Because
of how you lived your life, even amidst your
own sorrow, I, too, am embracing life again.
Btw Happy 1st birthday in heaven.
Love you forever, Ruth XO
P.S. Lauren Daigle, Look up Child. This album
reminds me of you.
Celine and Graydon Cramer,
(granddaughter)
Missing you more then ever today Grandma.
Your smile filled up a room and your laugh
could be heard miles away. Your ability to
show and give love was infectious and has
shaped who I am today. There is nothing like
a grandparents love. Yours was indescribable.
Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement.
I am forever remembering your legacy.
My only hope is that one day
I will be half as good of a Grandma as you
were to me.
I love you Grandma. And with love from
Graydon too. Your loving granddaughter,
Celine
Justin Bonneville
(grandson)
Missing you, your smile, laughter and
positive attitude. You always had good things
to say no matter what the situation. Grandpa
is missing you too. The house is so much
quieter now but he is still managing to keep
things going with the stove stocked with wood
to keep the house warm. I love you so much,
Grandma.
Poem to Mom
A year has passed and tears still flow
but laughter and joy have sprung.
And when my gaze and thoughts turn down
you lift them to the son (Jesus)
“Look up my child,” you say to me,
I’m here to catch your tears.
Just look at your surroundings
and I’ll show you I’m still here.
I’m in my pink geraniums
I planted long ago.
With water, sun and dad’s faithful care
in the spring they blossom so.
I’m in the smile of a child
that longs to catch your eye.
And sitting there right next to you
When you ’re on a country drive.
I’m in the loving gifts and cards
from friends you love so dear,
and I wrap my arms around you tight
when you’re overwhelmed with fear.
When you’re hugged by family members,
there, too, I squeeze you tight.
And when your day feels extra long
I hold you through the night.
Look up my child,” you say to me,
“I’m here to catch your tears.
Look up my child,” you say again.
"Give Jesus all your fears."
