NEIL ALLAN DOWHY
July 13, 1959 - March 27, 2019

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Neil Allan Dowhy on March 27, 2019 at the age of 59.
Neil was predeceased by his father Peter, mother Sophia, and brother Wilfred. In Neil's words he is "survived by sisters, Gloria, Sylvia, brother-in-law Gord, nephews, Judd, Steve, and niece Jenna. I ask you please not mourn. You are the best family someone could hope for. I am so proud of my nephews who grew up to be such good family men and fathers. I am so proud of my niece Jenna who has dedicated her life to help others as an ICU nurse. I say good-bye to special friend and co-worker Sandra, who I could confide in with anything, and Erin, who will be taking care of my very special feline friend Louie, who I adored and was such a great joy to me for many years. Special friends, Brent, Mary Anne and Lee. I wish to have no service. If you wish, have a get together and raise a glass to me. As I leave this place a new and wonderful place will await. I will miss you all. Please no flowers, if you wish make a donation to the Humane Society."
Our hearts are broken knowing we will never see Neil or hear his voice again. He is with Jesus, his angels, and our loved ones no longer with us. Heaven has been blessed by a very special angel called Neil. This is not goodbye. We will meet again someday. Till then, rest in peace our precious brother, uncle, and friend.

  • I am in tears and heart broken. He was a one of a kind guy. He had a such a good heart especially for the under dog on the helpless. Neil and I were as close as can be during our years together. He lived his life the way he wanted. I was happy I was a part of it. I will never forget my friend. To me he was "the best there ever was".
