RONALD CHARLES CRAMP
November 19, 1928 April 16, 2019
Left to love and cherish Dad's memory are his daughters, Rhonda (Gord) and Karen (Dean); grandsons, Derek (Krystle) and Darryl (Ashley); great-granddaughter Lorelai, and relatives and friends. Dad was thrilled about the upcoming birth of his second great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his mother Ruby and father Charles; his brother Norman; and his loving wife of 61 years, Norma, in 2016.
Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg. In 1954, he met the love of his life, our Mum. They married on September 17, 1955 and made their life together in St. Vital. They enjoyed their family, working on home improvement projects, spending time at their cottage, travelling and golfing.
He worked briefly at the Bank of Toronto, followed by 36 years at Great-West Life. His career in data processing followed the evolution of computerization from its infancy stage. Dad was very fortunate to enjoy 34 years of retirement.
Dad's happiest times were spent with his family. He was a very thoughtful, caring and kind person with a wonderful sense of humour. Despite recent health concerns, he was fiercely independent and was more concerned about his family than himself.
The family offers heartfelt thanks to Dr. P.G. Mehta and his staff for the care provided to Dad over the past many years. We are also grateful for the care provided by CancerCare Manitoba. The family also expresses sincere gratitude to the first responders.
Flowers are respectfully declined. If family and friends so desire, a donation may be made in Dad's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or a charity of their choice.
As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
Thank you for a lifetime of love
and for being the best dad,
granddad and friend in the world.
We will miss you so very much.

Dear Ron and family - So sorry to just learn that you have left us, with a great void now in my personal community, We were good friends while both were at the GWL for many years. You always presented yourself as such a personable, considerate fellow worker, always with a great smile and positive outlook. In retrospect it is with a sad thought that we missed a continuing togetherness, as our lives progressed. Wonderful that you had a long happy family time - we are pretty close in that we have spent exactly the same time on this speck of celestial clay. Rest in well deserved peace and comfort, good friend. - Posted by: Harold McCort (Friend and workmate) on: May 03, 2019

Rhonda, Karen and families. I was sad to hear of Ron's passing. I fondly remember both your parents and the time we spent as neighbours at Winnipeg Beach. - Posted by: Ted Lomatski (Friend) on: May 02, 2019

Sincere condolences to the family and friends. Was an awesome privilege to know him as kind human being, respectful and grateful. Extremely unassuming, humble and always punctual and caring for others. - Posted by: Dr P G Mehta (Family Physician) on: Apr 28, 2019
