Peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2019 Mom passed away at the age of 94 years.
Ida was predeceased by her husband
Michael Ferens in 1976 and granddaughter Karla Ferens in 2014.
She leaves to mourn her two sons, Don
(Kathy) and Gord (Sandy), daughter Betty Thomson, grandchildren, Geoff, Michelle,
Michael, Craig (Stacey), great-grandchildren, Zoe, Alex and Jamie. She also leaves to mourn her sister Terry Hacault and many nieces and nephews.
Ida worked many years at St. Boniface Hospital as a nursing assistant looking after children, something she enjoyed doing. Ida loved life, especially her family and her dear little pets.
Our sincere thanks to the staff at St.
Boniface Hospital for their kindness during her short stay.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Karla Ferens Memorial Fund at Red River College. Cheques payable to Red River
College or online at rrc.ca or to a charity of your choice.
