ARTHUR LLOYD GEORGE
December 3, 1949 - April 3, 2019

While wintering in Florence AZ, Art passed away following a cycling accident, his loving family at his side.
Special thank you to Dr. Taylor who helped at the scene, First Responders and ICU doctors and nurses at Chandler Regional Medical Center for the care and compassion they gave Art and the family.
Art was born and raised in East Kildonan, along with sister Pat (Ted Wall) to parents, Arthur and Stephanie (nee Annuck) George.
Sports played an important role throughout Art's life, whether playing, coaching or attending sporting events
At 16, Art was honoured with Queen Scout recognition. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba in 1971.
A female spectator at hockey caught Art's eye and on October 2, 1976 he married Georgina (nee James) (Lawson) along with her family of Robert (eight years) and Melanie (six years).
The family moved to Toronto in 1979 to start a new life. Art worked for Swifts/Kretschmar as a plant production manager until retirement.
Art and Georgina were also blessed with two daughters, Chelsea (Jacob) and Ashlea, granddaughters, Tenley, Emmerson and Grey. Robert (Vanessa) and Melanie (Jared) added step-grandchildren, Mallory, Ben and Nina.
Following retirement, Art and Georgina wintered in Arizona for the past three years.
We will miss Art, but will find comfort knowing that his spirit is in a heavenly place, together with his mom, mother-in-law Elizabeth James, nephew Cory Wall, and other relatives and friends.
We all have one life to live.
Art had a strong work ethic, kept himself fit and focused on his family.
