ARTHUR STANLEY MARSHALL
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances (Przednowek) in 2011, after 65 years of marriage. Left to cherish his memories are his five children, Bruce (Darlene Kaye), Brian (Jo-Anne), Garry (Naomi), Wendy Curtis (Glen) and Darryl (Jackie Rietvelt); his grandchildren, Derek, Jamie (Veroniek), Neil (Jess), Curtis, Ryan (Tricia), Dylan (Brooke), Amanda, Corey (Chelcie) and Dylan; along with his 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
Dad was born in Winnipeg on June 25, 1925. He grew up in Vivian where years later he met and married the woman of his dreams. The family set roots in Anola, moving to Transcona in 1956, to Springfield in 1973, to Oakbank in 1984, and back to Winnipeg in 2008.
As a top-rated carpenter by trade he assisted anyone that needed a helping hand and built more than one family home. Dad retired from the maintenance department of Transcona/Springfield School Division.
He very much enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the banjo and harmonica at many family shindigs. A lot of time was spent with family and friends in Beausejour doing just that. He had a great personality and always had a smile on his face and a wink in his eye!
We all love you, Dad and Grandpa. You will forever be missed!
We would like to thank the staff at Kildonan Care Home for their care of Dad and their support to our family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's name to Kildonan Care Home, 1970 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R2G 1P2.
A Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Ridge Golf Club at the corner of Pineridge Road and Garven Road.

It was a pleasure to get to know and serve Art when he resided in Donwood Manor EPH. An added bonus was getting to know many of you, his family. My condolences to you all. - Posted by: Wendell Penner (Friend) on: May 04, 2019
