ROSALINE MARIE KOZAK
(nee IORIO)
April 10, 1929 - May 11, 2019
Leaving to mourn Roses memory are her daughters, Linda and Karen (Danny); granddaughters, Carleigh (Evan) and Kayla (Jason); great-grandchildren, Nash, Parker and Archer; granddogs, Jasper and Bender; brothers, Mike and Conrad; sisters-in-law, Mary Iorio and Lilian Hansen; brother-in-law Al Penny (Anne); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joe in 2012; her parents, Giuseppe and Angelina; siblings, Constance, Phil, Armand, Rudy and Richard.
Mom worked at the Winnipeg Clinic until her retirement in 1979. She loved bingo, bowling, the racetrack and the casino with Dad and friends. More of her favourite things included a good game of Euchre on a Saturday night with Dad and the gang, a few laughs, food and of course a couple of drinks. She loved the Blue Jays and at one time could name every player on the team. Dad teased her all the time saying, "you can't hit the ball if you don't take the bat off your shoulder". Over the years Mom and Dad made numerous friends from Safeway to Shoppers to McDonalds and from bingo, bowling, the racetrack and casino.
Her granddaughters and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye. The love she had for them was special like only a grandmother's love can be.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering in honour of Mom on May 21, 2019 at the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Boulevard from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. In compliance with Mom's wishes, a private family interment will be held.
Special thanks to the staff at Charleswood Care Centre and Residence Despins for their care of Mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2, or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3.

Karen and Danny, Linda, Carleigh and Evan (Nash and Parker) Kayla and Jason (Archer) Rose lived a good life until Dementia happened upon her. But even then she had a loving and supportive family who loved her and guided her through until the end. Rose was a lovely lady and friend whom we were glad to have known. Memories of Rose will always be in our hearts. Our heartfelt condolences at this sad time. - Posted by: Wendy and Ross Marsch (Friends) on: May 18, 2019
