Ted is survived by his best friend and wife of 73 years, Lillian (nee Redmond) of Edmonton, daughter Susan (Pat) Molloy of Edmonton, son Gary (Tammy) Ritchie of Fork Lake, AB, sister-in-law Norma Ritchie of Winnipeg, and granddaughter-in-law Paula Molloy of Sooke, BC; also grandchildren, Coby (Jamie) Ritchie of Fort McMurray, Shawn (Jessie) Molloy of Edmonton, Jodi (Jim) Eistetter of Calgary, and great-grandchildren, Jesse Molloy of Sooke, BC, Georgia and Mason Molloy of Wabasca, AB and Cooper and Ivy Eistetter of Calgary, as well as many nieces and nephews and much loved in-laws in Nova Scotia.
Ted was born and raised in Winnipeg, joined the Navy during the Second World War, met his future wife in Halifax while on leave and upon discharge returned to Winnipeg and his first (and only) job at T. Eaton Co. Ted worked his way from the warehouse in Winnipeg to store manager in Portage la Prairie, where he took early retirement after 46 years with Eatons.
Ted enjoyed curling, golf, camping and was a member of the Kinsmen Club and the ELKS Club, as well as a lifelong Legion member.
Interment and a celebration of Ted's life will take place in Portage la Prairie at a future date.
