CHRISTINE ANNE MACLEOD
July 8, 1946 - May 13, 2019
Chris was predeceased by her parents, Margret Katherine Halko of Lestock, SK and her father Duncan MacLeod of Lot 21, Caroloway, Scotland.
Chris is survived by her brother Lorne and his wife Diane (nee Desrosiers) MacLeod; her nephews, Daniel (Karen) of Kelowna, B.C. their children Hayden and Ava; Keith (Dalena) of Beaumont, AB their children Beyla and Kirsi; and Duncan (Kelly) of Winnipeg with baby to be.
Chris lived her whole life on Monreith Steet. She attended Lord Nelson School, Andrew Mynarski VC School and Sisler High School. Chris worked for 30 plus years at Richardson Securities and another 10 years in retail at the Polo Park Mall. She had a passion for shopping, for clothes and looking after her house and yard. She had many good friends and neighbours and along with Lorne's family she had a very active life.
Diane's father, Rene Desrosiers, always welcomed Chris to the countless large family gatherings that he hosted for every occasion.
We would like to give a special thanks to Chris's neighbours Matthew and Brittany for coming to her aid in her time of need.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Chris's name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
As per Chris's wishes, a small, private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
You are in our hearts forever.

I had not seen Chris for years as I had moved away, but, when another neighbour told me she had passed, I was so sorry that we hadn't maintained our relationship. She was always quiet, and very sweet. I will remember her as I knew her. - Posted by: Jann *Bindas* Wabick (Childhood friend) on: Jan 11, 2025

I am very sorry to hear the passing of Christine. I met Christine at her Polo Park job. She was a very friendly lady. We would always seem to met at one of the malls and have a chat and a good laugh that we were at the mall. She was a dressed beautifully wearing a nice pin on her jacket or sweater. Shall miss seeing her at one of the malls. May She Rest in Peace. My deepest sympathy to her family. - Posted by: Diane Klemetski (Friend) on: May 21, 2019

Chris has been a member if our extended family since she was a teenager in Winnipeg. Her warmth, kindness and community spirit was evident to everyone she met. She supported local charities and lent a hand to anyone who needed help. She became an “aunt” to the young ones and never missed a celebration! We welcomed her to our home in California where our children embraced her! She lit up a room when she entered and I know she is now the brightest star in our heavens! Rest In Peace dear Chris. We all miss you. - Posted by: Mary Lou Ozohan Camacho (Friend) on: May 21, 2019

I work with Chrissy at Richardson Greenshields. We did lunch every Friday and walked to what was then Eaton Place to eat at Micki D's (McDonalds). Then I would see her at Polo Park when I went shopping. She was always happy and upbeat. And we always left each other with a hug. Rest in Peace my friend. I will miss you. - Posted by: Heather Beaudry (Pataluck) (Friend) on: May 18, 2019

I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of Chrissy’s passing. Chris and I worked together for many years at Richardson Greenshields. We used to ride the bus together I got off at Robertson and Chrissy at next stop Monreith. I will always remember our trip we took to Waikiki Hawaii. We used to kid Chris on her trying to remember her favourite drink chi chi. Chris always had a smile on her face and made you feel welcome, she will be truly missed.
