ROBERTA CHRISTINE JOAN DAUN
(nee CARLSON)
October 15, 1947 - May 16, 2019

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Bobbi - a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was predeceased by her parents, Marion (Mary) and Gus Carlson, and her older brother Arnold. Bobbi is survived by her husband of 42 years, Steve, children, Timothy (Coralie) and Reesa (Derick), grandchildren, Ayden (nine), Henry (six), Freya (four) and Owen (two), sister Marjorie Plosker, and brother Lindsay Carlson.
Bobbi was born in Pine Falls, MB and lived her early years in Broadlands. While she enjoyed many professions over the years, she found her calling in childcare. However, her true passion was for her family, her pets and her gardens - both in Winnipeg and at the cabin. Every year was a challenge to load the car with flowers. She will be remembered as an exceptionally caring and compassionate woman that embraced family, friends and all those around her with kindness and understanding.
Cremation has taken place, as well as an intimate gathering for a Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Bobbi was living with my father in the mid 70’s and acted as my stepmother for a short time. I remember her fondly and found this obituary while searching for her to reconnect. I wanted to thank her for the caring and compassion she showed to an 11 year old boy who was suddenly inserted into her life. Her sister Marjorie was awesome! - Posted by: Robert Van De Weghe (Sort of step son) on: Jul 05, 2025

  • We didn't get to know Bobbi well, but know how much she was loved and appreciated. Her kindness was so evident and she shone with warmth and love. May you all find comfort in memories of your time together and in all the good things she did in life. Lynda - Posted by: Lynda Daun (cousin) on: May 22, 2019

  • Remembering sitting with Bobbi on the front steps on Beeston with coffee and Amaretto and at the Hawk Lake cottage eating her blueberry pies. She is missed. - Posted by: Ian McLaurin (Friend and former neighbour) on: May 21, 2019
