HELEN ANN WALLACE
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Brenda and husband Don Reiter; grandson Kyle Reiter, granddaughter Kimberley Reiter and partner, Geoff Keller; son Neil and wife Marie Wallace; brother Roger Stacy and wife Maureen. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Ted, in 2009 and her parents, Peter and Mary Stacy.
Helen was born and raised in Winnipeg. She graduated from Isaac Newton High School and attended Success Business College. She went on to work at JJH McLean & Co. and Harold F. Ritchie Co. where she was office manager before meeting her husband Ted at a YMCA dance in 1961. They were married that same year and she began her next new adventure living near Dafoe, Saskatchewan where she and Ted spent 33 years operating their farm, building their beekeeping operation, and raising their family. Helen was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking for friends and family and made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. She also became an active member of the Foote-Copeland community. After their retirement to Saskatoon in 1994, Helen volunteered with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (CARG), where Ted was a member. After Ted's passing, Helen lived in Fort Saskatchewan near her daughter Brenda and family before moving to further care in St. Albert and most recently Calgary where she lived near her son Neil and his wife Marie.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (210 Wess Road, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7V 0S4).
