  • My dear Maria... I am so sorry to hear of Marino's passing. He was a special man. I will never forget the "special" drinks he made for Ed in your amazing basement bar. I lost Ed three years ago. The grief is always there but friends and family will carry you through. He will be missed by all who knew him. Valarie - Posted by: Valarie Newsham (Friend) on: Jun 25, 2019

  • I remember Marino from the first day he started at CN Transcona Shops as a machinist. I was also a recent immigrant from Ireland, so I guess that management of the day thought we would make a good pair. And so we did, although we both had a few communication problems with our accents, nevertheless, we managed to make a good go of it. Marino, was indeed a gentle, kind-hearted, loving gentleman. We got on like "a house on fire" for a number of years until our courses within CN changed and we went our separate ways. I still have many cherished memories Of Marino. I'm sure he will be missed by many. - Posted by: Grant RODGERS (Friend) on: Jun 22, 2019
