ESTHER JEAN SPRAGGS
December 9, 1928 - July 10, 2019
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Catherine Spraggs, and brothers and sisters, Albert, John, Lillian, Barbara, Alice, James and Norman. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Morris and Mary Stockwell, brother Douglas and sister-in-law Donna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was born in Shoal Lake and spent her childhood on the family farm. In her teens she moved to Winnipeg with her family.
Esther was a loyal employee for Canadian Underwriters, Brook Bond and Moore Business Forms for many years, retiring in 1994.
She loved children and was a willing babysitter for family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rush, the ICU and the 3rd floor South comfort care team at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion during this time.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Springs Church on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Viewing will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel. The service will follow at 12:00 p.m., Pastor Jeff Romas officiating. Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship at the church. For those who choose, you may join the family for the interment service at Chapel Lawn following the luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
