KATHERINE ELIZABETH KENNEDY
She was born December 1, 1947, to Robert and Mary Harland and grew up in Winnipeg. Her career, one she was gifted at, was working for the Winnipeg 1 School Division as a Special Ed teacher. She made many lifelong friends there - referred to as the Wandering Women. Together they enjoyed many kayaking adventures, garage sales and glasses of wine.
In 1989, she moved to East Selkirk with her sons, Arthur and Robert. Her happiest times were at the family cottage at West Hawk Lake. Fellow Crescent Beach-ers enjoyed her yearly wine and cheese events. In the last three years, she was able to achieve a childhood dream of spending winters in Sooke.
Kathy leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Arthur (Allyse) and Robert (Cecily); her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Aubree, Calla and Hunter. As well, she will be greatly missed by her aunt Barbara Chernick-Nyland and her sister Diana and her family.
As she has requested, there will be no funeral.

My sincere sympathy to you Diana and family. You may remember me as Candace Riy. I dated Mac Kennedy for a number of years. I have great memories of being at the cottage at West Hawk. Kathy was such a warm person and so sweet to me. - Posted by: Candace Hamulka (Old friend) on: Aug 10, 2019
