It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and brother Bobby, Robert George Sellick, of Peguis First Nation on September 6, 2019, at the age of 66 years.
Bobby is survived by his sons, Dwayne (Candace), Christopher (Pam) and Nicholas (Pamela); grandchildren, Memphis, Niko, Brian and Kaison; sisters, Debbie and Dawn; brothers, Norman, Barry, Danny and Steven; aunts, Kay Thomas, Bernice (Don) Ayerst, and Anna Beauchamp; in-laws, Della and Brian Spence, Derby (Gloria) Stevenson, Lloyd (Linda) Stevenson, Glenn (Phyllis) Stevenson, Phyllis (Eldon) Stevenson-Paul, Alma Kline and Wendy Stevenson; as well as nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
Bobby was predeceased by his common-law wife Doreen Stevenson; his parents, Marge and Norman Sellick; grandparents, Florence and Robert Pruden, Maria and John Stevenson; in-laws, Dorothy and Cyril Stevenson, and Dennis Stevenson.
Before moving to Winnipeg in the late 1970s, Bobby was active in school and community sports. He played quarterback for his high school football team and back catcher with the Hodgson Colts baseball team, where he developed many long-time friendships. He went on to work with his dad in construction and one of his first-time jobs was the construction of the Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson. After moving to Winnipeg, he worked 30 plus years as a roofer with the construction of many high-rise buildings still standing in Winnipeg.
