She will be remembered by her children, Antonio, Domenico (Sandra) and Caterina (Matthew) Stathers; grandchildren, Tommy (Amandalina), Angie (Marco), Angela, Matteo, Sabrina, Luca and Sofia; great-granddaughter Mia; sister Santa (late Ignazio) in Italy; sisters-in-law, Caterina (Francesco), Elena (late Antonio), Bettina in Italy, Bianca (Battista) in Italy; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Domenico Briatico, Giovanni Briatico; brothers-in-law Antonio Foderaro, Domenico Foderaro; and sister-in-law Angela (nee Bucchino) Foderaro.
Mom was born May 24, 1929, in Cortale, Catanzaro, Italy. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Tommaso. Together they moved to Canada in 1962 seeking a better life for their young family. She worked at Stall and Sons as a sewing machine operator before helping her husband create and grow Foderaro Wholesale Meats in 1968. She also helped establish their property on Corydon Avenue, the home of Bar Italia, while raising her two sons. In 1973, at the age of 44, she was blessed with a daughter Caterina. Family and friends were very important to her. Some of the happiest moments of her life were spent with her family and friends enjoying BBQs at Birds Hill Park and St. Malo. Her greatest pleasure was enjoying milestones in her grandchildren's lives, never missing an opportunity to see them blow out their birthday candles. She also enjoyed the constant visits from her grandchildren who were always entertaining her and making her smile.
Lucky to have had a Mom like you! Your memories will always keep us smiling. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else will ever fill.
Forever Loved and Forever Missed.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the 3rd Floor Staff at the Grace Hospital for their compassion and the care they showed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Canada.

We would often drive by on our way home and see your mom's light on in the front room and little body shadows running around as Luca and Sofia entertained her. I’m sure she was always amused. We always thought having your mom so close by was such a wonderful blessing. You have the most beautiful, loving family. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time. - Posted by: Tim, Cheryl Cole Luke Kyle Mcqueen (Friends ) on: Oct 01, 2019
