PATRICIA ANN STEVENTON
(nee FROBISHER)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Steventon (nee Frobisher). Pat passed away on October 1, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital. Though sudden, Pat faced her diagnosis with courage and accepted it with grace. Family was most important to her. One of her last wishes was that she be surrounded by family during her remaining precious time. Her wish was fulfilled as her family was constantly with her, including her final moments, demonstrating the love we have for her.
She is survived by her daughter Marni Fleming (nee Steventon); son-in-law Keith; her grandchildren, Kristin, Ryan and Kaitlyn; her sisters, Val (Peter) and Sandy (Gary); brothers, Guy and Gary (Claudette); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also close to Pat, her longtime friend Phyllis Wiseman (Rick) of Glace Bay, NS and Trish Haaksma who Pat considered her second daughter, as well as many friends and colleagues.
She was predeceased by her father Philibert Frobisher, her mother Doreen Frobisher (nee Bird) and her husband Ronald Steventon.
Pat was employed by the Government of Manitoba for over 30 years starting with Consumer and Corporate Affairs, then moved to the Residential Tenancies Branch where she retired. After her retirement she spent her time with her daughter, grandchildren, family and friends. The last four years Pat became a snowbird spending winters in Texas, at her trailer in Magic Valley Park, where she made many new friends and enjoyed her favourite leisure activities playing cards, doing puzzles and crafts. This past winter escape was even more enjoyable as her granddaughter Kristin joined her on her getaway.
Pat's memorial service and Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Pastor Stan Richards officiating, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
