BERNA DOLORES SCHLOSSER
(nee METCALFE)
Left to survive Berna are her sister Bernice (Wayne) Pierrepont, daughters, Dolores (David) Koop, Nancy Fraser; grandchildren, Alyssa (Brian), Erin (Andrew), Lyndon, Lindsay and great-grandchildren, Arabella, Zanna, Obadiah, and Zachary.
Berna was predeceased by her husband Oskar Schlosser (1978); sons, Martin (2012) and Randolph (2018); her parents, Carman and Sara Metcalfe, and three siblings, Ronald, Kenneth and Shirley.
Berna was born in the village of Bowsman, MB and was a true country girl. She was raised in the Swan River Valley area, she enjoyed the simple life, her farm, flowers and gardens. Berna married Oskar and moved to Winnipeg to raise their family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and kind soul to all. Berna could beat anyone at a game of cribbage even in her final days. Her gentle spirit and love of the Lord was evident in her daily life until she was finally called to her heavenly home after 94 years.
A family memorial will take place at a later date.
And He walks with me, and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

Dear Dolores and Nancy and family Our deepest condolences to you. Your Mom and family have held a special place in our hearts for many years. Since the early days of meeting together at First English Lutheran, M.B.C.I. and right on into participating in each others weddings, sharing in the funerals of family passing, and now into sharing great grandchildren of your Mom's, we have cherished a constant friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you journey through this loss and gratefulness that your Mom may no longer need to struggle. - Posted by: Charlotte Livingston (Friend) on: Oct 19, 2019
