(née JAMAULT)

She also leaves to mourn her in-laws, Marie Comte (John), André (Gisele) Comte, Suzanne Comte (Geof), Aubert Comte, Céline Comte (Hank), Clémence Deschouwer, Alain Comte (Lorraine), Alice (Aime) Gautron, Fernand (Nicole) Comte and Léo (Audrey) Comte; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Shortly after her birth in Peace River, AB, she and her parents moved to Altamont, MB where her father owned the hotel. As a student, she boarded at the nearby St. Leon and Notre Dame Covents. She graduated from Notre Dame High School then attended the St. Boniface School of Nursing. She not only earned her nursing diploma, but also lifelong friends. During this time, she met Jean, fell in love and returned to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes to marry October 23, 1965. Together they raised a family and were pillars in their community. They were married 54 years, and exemplified love and partnership.
Mom's nursing career began as a head nurse in the hospital and ended as the "Chez Nous" coordinator at the Foyer. The pinnacle of her career was her pioneer work creating a home for residents with cognitive impairments. She was a mother and mentor to many, and she changed the lives of countless patients and families. Her capacity for kindness and compassion was endless and her legacy lives on in her absence.
She was artistic, and loved to garden, knit, sew and bake. She also loved to travel, and their trips spanned the globe.
Mom loved her family dearly, and especially loved to spoil her eight grandchildren with her legendary baking.
"Mom, tu nous manquera."
