BERNHARD WIEBE HIEBERT
May 29, 1925 - January 29, 2020

On January 29, 2020, Bernhard (Ben) Hiebert aged 94 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Misericordia Place.
He is survived by his children, Diana (Ken) Birch, Ken (Tracy) Hiebert, Rose (Steven) Jemson, Brenda (Tom) Balzer, Ed Hiebert.
Ben was predeceased by his wife Beryl of 46 years, parents, John LF and Elizabeth Hiebert, first grandchild Joshua, sisters, Susan, Helen, Mary, Kay, Betty, and brother John.
Dad was born in Randolph, MB (Chortitz). He grew up on the family farm, where he learned his hard work ethic, which he passed down to his children.
He met his wife, Beryl, through his sisters, since they shared the same rooming house and often brought Beryl home to the family farm on weekends. They married in 1957. In the mid-50's, dad became a Mechanic and started with Inman Motors (Gateway Chev, Terry Balkan) and ended at the Provincial Government Garage, where he retired in 1990.
A celebration of Ben's life will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 11:00 a.m. at Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., with interment to follow, after refreshments.
