Many times I think back to happy times growing up in the church family of Grant Memorial Baptist Church. Paul and his brother Glen was a large part of those happy memories. His mom and dad were close friends to my parents and we spent many times at each other's home for a meal. Glen was the "JoyBelles" (church quartet) so called manager and Paul was a Best man at my brother Garth's wedding. We saw each other on occasion at special Olympics swimming meets etc and loved to reminisce again about the good times at Jr High and then Sr Highs youth groups . These last few years he was on my Facebook page as a friend and occasionally we would like a posting we saw sent a comment or two. I wish I had reached out in person more. He will be forever missed and a huge part of my wonderful childhood at Grant Memorial Baptist Church - Posted by: Doreen Edwards (Friend) on: Feb 06, 2020

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Jersak family on the loss of Paul. His dad was my biology teacher at St. James Collegiate in 1964-65 school year. I ran into Mr. Jersak many years later in Polo Park mall and he came up to me. I didn't recognize him because his hair got grey but he was the one who recognized me and remembered me as well. He had a god memory. He was a good teacher. It is sad to read that he, his wife and both sons are now gone.
